butterfly postage

i wonder what that number is on the back of the envelope.
i wonder what that number is doing on the back of the envelope.
i wonder why that number on the back of the envelope is there and how it got there.
i wonder how does the sum of our ages become a long night.
i dont know what to say. i like this haiku. like many of your haiku, it makes me stop and think. pause for a moment and wonder. ponder. wander. reflect. see the length of a winter night. could the sum of our ages become the short night of summer?
dont mind me. i’m just lost. sometimes lost is a good place to be, yes? thanks.

That’s a really huge compliment, Wrick, to say my ku make you stop and think. That’s what I’m always aiming for … my aim is pretty scattershot though. (You should see me trying to throw a ball.)
Glad you didn’t delete. For some reason this comment reminds me of a ku I discovered the other day (on Fay’s site, maybe?) and got so happy about I immediately stuck it up on my Facebook page … I would have it as an epigraph to the blog if I didn’t already have one that was less embarrassing. 🙂
