Love the rosemary, Mel – great prompt, I’ll give it a try
basil-tipped fingers

Nice, Ash….reminds me of one I wrote a ways back…
garden basil
she sniffs
her green fingers
Well, I don’t think it’s a better or worse thing, they’re just different images… now I’m getting hungry for basil but it won’t be in our garden for months. 🙂
Oh yes, yours is much better! I like that ‘garden’ is in there, alerting to the reader to the fact that it isn’t purchased at a store, for instance
cool. in the rain the other day on a walk i realized an entire hedge was made of rosemary because of the scent as i walked passed. it’s always kept very trimmed in a box-like shape – not high may be two feet or 30 inches and not long – may be 6 or 7 feet long and probably 20 inches – 2 feet wide. it’s curved. it follows the sidewalk and then curves in along a short driveway. i’ve walked along there plenty of times (including other days in the rain) and had not noticed that it was rosemary until that particular day in the rain. there are a number of rosemary bushes that have been planted around mail box posts but that was the first hedge i’ve noticed.

Wow…that sounds amazing. One of these days I’m gonna make it to Hawaii…
