I once read about a study that indicated that about 70 % of women who say “no” don’t mean it, and most of them don’t respect a man who is willing to accept the first “no.”(That would be me)
I repeat, “read about;” I didn’t read the actual study, so I can’t comment on its reliability/validity.
Ugh. I hate self-censorship but I think I’m going to have to take this down because that isn’t what this poem is about at all and it didn’t occur to me until about ten minutes after I posted it that it might/probably would be taken that way. I guess I was still hoping it was more ambiguous, but apparently not. I really, really don’t want to give the jerks of the world any more justification for their jerkiness. Shudder.
So “no” doesn’t mean NO after all?

Anyway, nice ku.
